Sluggish domestic and export demand has dragged dollar chana prices in Indore mandis in the past one week by almost ₹200 a quintal. On Tuesday, dollar chana in Indore mandis was quoted at ₹4,300-5,300 with arrival outstripping demand. Dollar chana (42/44 count) was being quoted at ₹5,550-75, 44/46 count ₹5,350-75, 58/60 count ruled at ₹4,425-50, while dollar chana (60/62 count) was ₹4,225-50 a quintal. Sluggish trend also continued on weak buying with prices of chana (kanta) in local mandis being quoted at ₹2,800-2,825 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹2,600 and Kabuli Bitki at ₹2,800-25. Chana dal (average) was being quoted at ₹3,000-3,100, chana dal (medium) at ₹3,200-3,300, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹3,500-3,700 a quintal.
