Despite improved global cues, sluggish trend continued in soya oil on slack physical demand with soya refined in local mandis being quoted at ₹632-35, while soya solvent ruled at ₹600-605. Soyabean was being quoted as high as ₹4,000 a quintal. Plant deliveries of soyabean remained firm at ₹3,950 a quintal. Given adequate carryover stock in soyabean and hopes of better monsoon, rally appears unlikely in the coming days. Any further rise or fall in soyabean prices would depend upon crop sowing report after a month or so, said Agrawal, a local trader. Amid slack domestic demand, soyameal currently in Indore mandis is being quoted at ₹3,300-3,500 a quintal.
