Sluggish demand and rise in arrivals once again arrested the uptrend in mustard oil with prices in Indore mandis declining by ₹12 in the last one week. On Thursday, it was quoted at ₹638/10 kg . In Rajasthan mandis also mustard oil traded lower with demand outstripping arrivals. In Kota and Ganga Nagar mustard oil ruled at ₹635 each (down ₹10 from last week), while it declined to ₹645 in Jaipur (down ₹15 from last week). Similarly in Gujarat, mustard oil is ruling ₹10 lower compared to its prices last week at ₹630.
With demand continuing to be on the lower side, the sluggish trend in mustard oil will likely to continue, said Kailash Agrawal, a trader.
Slack demand from crushers has also dragged plant deliveries of mustard seeds for Jaipur line to ₹3,365-70 (₹3,440-45 ). Mustard seeds continue to rule stable at ₹3,900-4,050 . Raida ruled at ₹2,800-2,950 a quintal (down ₹100 from last week).
