Castorseed futures traded weak after speculative sell-off by traders along with weak domestic and export demand. Spot price, too, moved down. On the NCDEX, castorseed February contract was down ₹173 to ₹4,243 a quintal with an open interest of 125,310 lots. Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX) castorseed March contract too lost 2 per cent to ₹4,206 and RCX spot castorseed slipped ₹50 to ₹4,112.50 a quintal. Castor oil declined ₹5 to ₹845/10 kg. About 23,000-25,000 bags of castor arrived in Gujarat and sold for ₹820-830 for a maund of 20 kg. Around 1,400-1,500 bags arrived in Saurashtra and traded at ₹795-805.
