Spot pepper prices remained unchanged on Thursday as no activities took place on the terminal market due to non-arrival of the material from primary markets. The only availability of the material, in moderate volume, is of the exchange released pepper, and during the past three days, 70 tonnes were traded and 250 tonnes of it were bought by exporters on Thursday, market sources told Business Line. Farmers were not selling their produce below ₹705 a kg and the buyers were at ₹700 a kg. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹68,500 (ungarbled) and ₹71,500 (garbled) a quintal.
