Spot rubber closed unchanged as most traders preferred to sideline the market on Friday. RSS 4 finished flat at ₹140 a kg according to traders and the Rubber Board. The gradequoted steady at ₹137 by dealers. May futures firmed up to ₹139.60 (138.91), June to ₹144.50 (143.61) and July to ₹146.50 (144.55) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹144.83 (143.98) at Bangkok. May futures firmed up to ₹151.88 (149.80)on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 140 (140); RSS-5: 137 (137); Ungraded: 125.50 (125.50); ISNR 20: 123 (123) and Latex (60% drc): 95 (95).
