Spot rubber turned weak on Thursday. Certain tyre companies were buyers up to ₹141.00 a kg for sheet rubber on early trades, but the market failed to sustain at higher levels during late trading hours. RSS 4 declined to ₹140.00 (143.00) per kg, according to traders. The grade weakened to ₹141.50 (143.00) and ₹138.50 (140.00) per kg respectively, according to Rubber Board and the dealers. The May futures surrendered to ₹140.23 (146.07), June to ₹141.37 (147.26) and July to ₹140.66 (146.52) per kg on National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹122.21 (121.98) per kg at Bangkok. The May futures declined to ¥187.0 (₹115.14) from ¥191.9 (₹118.15) per kg during the day session and then to ¥185.0 (₹113.90) per kg in the night session on Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM).
