The sugar market rule steady on Tuesday, arresting the continuous rise since the start of the month, on routine demand-supply and volumes. At Vashi, spot and naka rates were steady. The mills sold the commodity at previous levels, keeping tender rates unchanged. On Monday, 15-16 mills offered tenders and sold 54,000-55,000 bags at ₹3,850-3,910 (₹3,850-3,910) for S-grade and ₹3,920-3,980 (₹3,920-3,980) for M-grade. On NCDEX, futures prices for March-17 contracts declined to ₹3,902 (₹3,931) on profit booking till noon. Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,960-4,022 (₹3,960-4,022); M-grade ₹4,026-4,281 (₹4,022-4,281). Naka delivery rates were: S-grade ₹3,920-3,980 (₹3,920-3,980), M-grade ₹3,980- 4,030 (₹3,980-4,030).
