The price of spot turmeric improved on Thursday. At the Erode Turmer4ic Merchants Association sales yard, finger turmeric sold at ₹6,091 to 8,655 a quintal. The root variety was sold at ₹5799 to 7,729 a quintal. At the Regulated Marketing Society, finger turmeric was sold at ₹7,691 to 8,685 a quintal and root variety at ₹7,189 to 7,911.
