The rupee rose 17 paise on Monday to end at an over two-month high at 61.70 to the dollar on strong inflows into the domestic equity market and sustained dollar sales by exporters. At the forex market, the domestic unit resumed strong at 61.60 to a dollar from the previous close of 61.87.
