The rupee on Tuesday climbed for the second straight day gaining 33 paise to close at 63.15 against the dollar on persistent selling of the greenback by banks and exporters. Strong recovery in the equity market, which saw the benchmark Sensex rising by 219.39 points, also boosted the rupee against the dollar, a forex dealer said. In the morning, the rupee resumed higher at 63.35 as against the last closing level of 63.48 and moved in the 63.45-63.11 range before concluding the day at 63.15. The rupee has gained 41 paise in the last two days.
