Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 30,581 per 10 grams on Tuesday against the previous close of Rs 30,640.
April contract made a high of Rs 30,627 and low of Rs 30,553. It was trading down 0.2 per cent at Rs 30,580 at 1.10 p.m..
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was up by $4 at $1,646 a troy ounce at 1.10 pm. Spot gold on Comex was up by $0.4 at $1,649.
