Gold futures down at Rs 31,348

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 31,348 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 31,326. It made a high of Rs 31,408 and low of Rs 31,331.

The yellow metal was trading higher by 0.19 per cent at Rs 31,384 at 1.15 p.m. In Comex, it was up by $3 at $1,709 a troy ounce.

The rupee appreciation will limit the gains in futures market.
