Gold prices eased 0.32 per cent to Rs 27,441 per 10 grams at the futures trade today as participants offloaded positions at current levels amid weak cues from global markets.
Gold for delivery in June declined Rs 87 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 27,441 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 203 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in August shed Rs 82 or 0.3 per cent to Rs 27,700 per 10 grams in 20 lots.
Market analysts said that apart from profit-booking by speculators, a weak trend in overseas markets put pressure on gold prices here.
Globally, the yellow metal traded down by $1,214.46 an ounce in early trade today in Singapore against $1,215.75 yesterday.
