Silver prices were up by Rs 127 to Rs 39,407 per kg at the futures trading today as speculators indulged in creating positions, taking positive cues from the global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month September was trading higher by Rs 127 or 0.32 per cent at Rs 39,407 per kg in a business turnover of 29 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in July rose Rs 111 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 39,688 per kg in 586 lots.
Market analysts said speculative positions built-up by participants in step with a firm trend in global markets mainly influenced silver futures.
Meanwhile, silver was up 0.72 per cent at $16.08 an ounce in Singapore today.
