FMCG stocks traded on a firm note to emerge among the top gainers ahead of the close on Monday. At 3.20 p.m. HUL was trading at Rs 578.60, up 2.26 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 565.80.
HCL Technologies gained 0.76 per cent to trade at Rs 1,422.60 as against its weekend close of Rs 1,411.85.
Cipla perked up by late trading to quote at Rs 415, a gain of 0.14 per cent on its previous close of Rs 414.40.
ITC joined HUL among the top gainers to quote at Rs 324.50. This represented a gain of 0.08 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 324.25.
UltraTech Cement was quoting at Rs 1,700 as against Rs 1,699.75 at close last week.
