The board of directors of MindTree Ltd would consider an issue of bonus shares at its meeting on April 16.
In its filings with the stock exchanges today, MindTree, which specialises in e-commerce, business intelligence and data analytics, said the board would consider issue of bonus shares apart from the audited financial results for the quarter and year ending March 31, 2014, and any dividend payment.
MindTree shares had closed at ₹1,377, a gain of ₹7.60, on Friday on the BSE. The stock has made a sharp recovery during the past year. Rising from a low of ₹782.70 that it touched on June 17, 2013, the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹1,724.95 on the BSE on Feb 21 this year, before ceding some of its gains as software as a sector lost some ground.
The paid-up capital of the company was ₹41.6 crore in the quarter ending December 31, 2013, and the EPS for the first nine months of the current fiscal was ₹84.85. The company’s reserves as at the end of December 31, 2013, was ₹1,526.8 crore.
