MSCI has raised Bharti Airtel’s weightage to 2.6 per cent from 1.3 per cent with effect from June 1.
According to fund managers, Bharti Airtel may see inflows of over $200 million due to increase in MSCI weightage.
The Reserve Bank of India had raised FII limit to 74 per cent from 49 per cent in July 2014.
Separately, MSCI’s semi-annual index review announcement is scheduled for May 12.
