The National Stock Exchange is reaching out to students and professionals in Kochi through its NCFM centre.

NSE’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM) is an online testing and certification programme, which gives candidates expertise in financial markets and helps them to get attractive jobs in the financial sector.

Kochi is one of the fastest growing Tier II cities and an economic hub with high tourist inflows. It also houses a large number of business schools, making it an ideal destination for an NCFM centre, where a large number of candidates appear for the online tests.

NSE runs more than 150 centres in different parts of the country for the NCFM tests. In Kerala, more than 17,500 candidates have appeared for the tests and this number is expected to go up in the next few years, with the Kochi centre conducting more number of online tests by attracting students and professionals from other parts of the country.

The NCFM programme includes modules on topics like commercial banking in India, equity derivatives, market risk management, capital markets, fixed income, debt markets, investment analysis and portfolio management, macroeconomics and banking and insurance.
