The Securities & Exchange Board of India is contemplating further alignment of its listing agreement format with the provisions of the new Companies Act for adopting best corporate governance practices and to make the corporate governance framework more effective.
S V Muralidhar Rao, ED, SEBI, said such exercises will be part of an ongoing process. SEBI has already amended a few clauses to align them with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
