Hindustan Unilever emerged the top gainer on the BSE in late trading on Tuesday. At 3.05 pm the share was trading at ₹746. This represented a gain of 0.53 per cent on its overnight close at ₹742.10. The share trimmed some of its morning gains on a day that the market that lost more than 300 points on profit-booking.
Wipro maintained its position among the top gainers though it had also come off its earlier highs by late trading. The stock was quoting at ₹584.80, up 0.39 per cent on its overnight close at ₹582.55.
NTPC edged up 0.29 per cent to trade at ₹136.95 as against ₹136.55 at close on Monday.
ITC was up a tad at ₹371.05 as against ₹370.65 at close on Monday. This represented a gain of 0.11 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki trimmed most of its morning gains to stand little changed at ₹3,066.05. This was a gain of 0.09 per cent on its previous close at ₹3,063.15.
