Bank of Baroda made rapid gains on the NSE ahead of the close on Tuesday. At 3 p.m. it was trading at Rs 642.45 as against Rs 620.45 at close on Tuesday, a gain of 3.55 per cent.
NMDC extended its morning gains to trade at Rs 142.95 as against Rs 138.30 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 3.36 per cent.
Larsen & Toubro built gains on the NSE also. It was trading at Rs 1,001.25, up 3.01 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 972.
UltraTech Cement also forged ahead to trade at Rs 1,696 as against Rs 1,648 at close previously. This was a gain of 2.91 per cent.
HDFC was the other financial sector stock among the top gainers. It was quoting at Rs 844.50 as against Rs 824.35 at close on Tuesday, representing a gain of 2.44 per cent.
