Bank of India has sold its 18 per cent stake in Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company (SUD) to Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company (DILIC) for ₹540 crore. Following the stake-sale, the holding of Bank of India in SUD will fall to 30 per cent. BoI shares will remain in focus as the insurance company had an embedded value of ₹800 crore at the end of March. The deal has taken place at a multiple of 3.8 times enterprise value, which is the future profit of the present value.
