ICICI Bank extended its morning gains to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE at the close on Tuesday. The share closed at Rs 324.95, up 7.46 per cent against Rs 302.40 at close on Monday.
Maruti Suzuki also rode up higher to hold gains of 5.03 per cent at Rs 3,830.10 as against Rs 3,646.70 at close yesterday. The company had yesterday reported an over 60 per cent increase in standalone net profit in Q4.
BHEL edged down a tad to hold gains of 2.29 per cent at Rs 232 as against Rs 226.80 at close overnight.
Bharti Airtel made strides during the afternoon session to hold gains of 1.93 per cent at Rs 399.50 as against its overnight close at Rs 391.95.
Axis Bank also made headway to trade at Rs 534. This represented a gain of 1.84 per cent on yesterday’s close at Rs 524.35.
