Automobile makers Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto were among the scrips to post gains at the close of the session on the BSE on Thursday. Tata Motors ended the day at Rs 354.25, up 2.71 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 344.90.
Bajaj Auto rode up 1.47 per cent to quote at Rs 2,302.45 against Rs 2,269.05 at close yesterday.
BHEL steamed up 1.74 per cent to trade at Rs 216.55 against Rs 212.85 at close overnight.
Larsen & Toubro advanced 1.31 per cent to trade at Rs 1,613.25 against Rs 1,592.45 at close last evening.
ICICI Bank traded up 1.15 per cent to quote at Rs 267.45 against Rs 264.40 at close on Wednesday.
