Metal stocks Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel held firm to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE on Tuesday. At 3.45 pm Hindalco Industries was quoting at ₹170.65, up 3.64 per cent on its previous close at ₹164.65.
Tata Steel held firm to keep gains of 2.57 per cent at ₹525 as against ₹511.85 at close on Monday.
Pharma stock Cipla edged lower to quote at ₹514. This represented a gain of 1.59 per cent on its previous close at ₹505.95.
GAIL (India) sailed up 1.49 per cent at ₹433.75 as against ₹427.40 at close on Monday.
Sun Pharma Industries rose 1.35 per cent at ₹864.85. The stock had ended yesterday’s session at ₹853.35.
