The BSE will provide twitterati with hourly updates of the exchange’s marquee index, the Sensex, between 9 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. (trading hours).
In addition, the display photo of the bourse’s handle @BSEIndia will change every two minutes showing the present level of the Sensex. Twitter will also enable auto response tweets for any person seeking information about the 30-scrip Sensex. One can also subscribe to a special direct message subscription facility for Daily Opening and Closing stock prices of Sensex-30 scrips.
Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE, said, “With this tie up with Twitter we genuinely hope that investors and businessmen, will find accurate and real-time information disseminated through Twitter very useful.
We believe this association will also aid in fulfilling the mission of Digital India.” The facility can be activated by Tweeting ‘#Subscribe #CompanyName’. Hashtags for BSE 30 are listed on its website.
