Andhra Petrochemicals has informed the BSE of the continuation of shutdown of the plant due to the recent cyclone at Visakhapatnam: partial damage to the Cooling Tower, some damages to the compound wall, street lights, top roof AC Sheets of various plant buildings, instrumentation/ mechanical/ electrical items, laboratory items, computers, breakage of windows & doors glasses, and false ceiling of office buildings. As a result of this, production loss would be around 150 MTs per day for the extended period of shutdown. Preliminary insurance claim for ₹4 crore has been lodged, the company said. Time required to restore normalcy would be three to four weeks, it added. Shares of Andhra Petrochemicals edged up 0.85 per cent at ₹9.48 on the BSE.
The board of directors of Neuland Laboratories on Wednesday allotted 12,22,472 fully-paid up equity shares of face value ₹10 each, out of the rights issue of 12,25,276 equity shares. The balance has been kept in abeyance. Shares of Neuland Laboratories surged 9.35 per cent at ₹507.75 on the BSE.
