Mukta Arts has informed the exchanges that Mukta Cinemas, a division of Mukta Arts, opened a two-screen property at Goregaon (Topiwala) on August 25 and a three-screen property at Panvel on August 27, taking the total number of properties to 16 and screens to 43. Earlier in July, the company had opened screen properties in Dehradun and Aurangabad. Now, the company is gearing up to open its Bahrain property in early September through its wholly-owned subsidiary based at Bahrain. Shares of Mukta Arts closed at ₹78.65, up 11.16 per cent on the NSE.

Akzo Nobel India on Monday said it has broken ground on its new powder coating plant in Mumbai. The company plans to invest ₹63.5 crore for the new plant, which will produce bonded metallic powder and localised products for markets, such as pipe and rebar coating. Akzo Nobel India aims to start production at its Mumbai unit in 2017, the company said in a release. Shares of Akzo Nobel India slipped 0.9 per cent at ₹1,631.5 on the NSE.

Shreyans Industries has informed the exchanges that Punjab Pollution Control Board has now directed the unit of the company - Shree Rishabh Papers, to resume operations. It has also directed the Punjab State Power Corporation to restore power supply to the unit. In view of this, operations at the unit have returned to normal from Monday. Earlier, on August 16, the Competent Authority (at the Punjab Pollution Control Board) had ordered closure of the unit with immediate effect. Shares of Shreyans Industries jumped 6.1 per cent at ₹65.8 on the NSE.
