Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers has informed the exchanges that it has shut down the ammonia, urea and ABC plant to attend to the ammonia plant primary reformer furnace refractory repair. The company will inform the exchanges once operations of these plants resume, it further said. However, the company has not disclosed any financial impact due to the shutdown. Shares of Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers slipped 1.3 per cent at ₹69.95 on the NSE.

Mold-Tek Packaging has decided to invest ₹25 crore to expand its Hyderabad plants to triple its capacity of producing the food & FMCG IML thin-wall containers. The company expects the first phase of the project to commence production in November and the remaining to be completed by June 2018. This investment will be over and above the investment in two dedicated plants being set up for Asian Plants Ltd. The stock of Mold-Tek Packaging edged down 0.1 per cent at ₹280.50 on the NSE.

Steel Strips Wheels on Wednesday informed the exchanges that it has bagged export orders for supply of steel wheels for Eu Caravan & Canadian Winter Market. The order would be dispatched by the end of July from SSWL’s Chennai plant, it said, and added that the order entails supply of about 15,500 wheels with the total order value at above $150,000. Shares of Steel Strips Wheels gained 1.4 per cent at ₹881.35 on the NSE.
