Eicher Motors has informed the exchanges that following the unprecedented rain and flooding in Chennai, the automaker has shut down its offices in the city and plants in Thiruvottiyur and Oragadam since December 1. As a result of the rains, Eicher Motors has lost production of 4,000 motorcycles, it added. It is closely watching the situation even as the disaster has affected the company’s employees, manufacturing facilities, offices, logistics and supply chain, it said.
