FMCG, IT and pharma stocks traded firm on the BSE on Friday. At the close the market was down over 300 points, as pre-Budget optimism was overtaken by concerns on GAAR and the Portugal crisis.
Sun Pharma Industries was the top gainer at the finish, trading at ₹741.45 as against ₹724.95 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 2.28 per cent.
TCS extended its gains to 2.13 per cent at ₹2,398. The stock had closed Thursday’s session at ₹2,347.90.
Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 2 per cent at ₹2,704.95. The share had ended yesterday's session at ₹2,651.90.
Hind Unilever was also up a shade on its earlier levels at ₹640.90. This represented a gain of 1.42 per cent on its previous close at ₹631.90.
Wipro gained 1.42 per cent to trade at ₹552.55 as against its previous close at ₹544.80.
