Energy stocks GAIL (India) and ONGC shed some of their morning gains by close of trading on the BSE on Tuesday. At 3.15 pm GAIL (India) was quoting at ₹379.75 as against ₹373.35 at close on Monday. The stock trimmed its gains to 1.71 per cent though it held on to its position at the head of the pack.
ONGC came off its morning levels to hold gains of 1.14 per cent at ₹326.85 as against ₹323.15 at close yesterday.
L&T made further ground to hold gains of 1.58 per cent at ₹1,343 as against ₹1,322.15 at close yesterday.
HDFC Bank traded up 1,24 per cent to quote at ₹725.50. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹716.60.
Hero MotoCorp rode up to hold gains of 0.95 per cent at ₹2,267.65, as against its overnight close of ₹2,246.2.
