BHEL steamed up nearly 6 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Thursday. At 3.10 pm the stock held gains of 5.82 per cent to trade at ₹242.55. The stock had ended the overnight session at ₹229.20.
GAIL (India) extended its morning gains to nearly 2 per cent near the close. It was quoting at ₹443.75, up 1.95 per cent on yesterday’s close at ₹435.25.
ONGC made gains of 1.52 per cent to trade at ₹434.25. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹427.75.
Larsen & Toubro edged up further to trade at ₹1,523. This represented a gain of 1.36 per cent on its previous close at ₹1,502.55.
Wipro moved up 1.14 per cent to trade at ₹564 as against ₹557.65 at close on Wednesday.
