GAIL (India) made rapid gains to emerge the top gainer on the BSE in late trading on Monday. At 3.25 pm it was quoting at ₹371.40 as against ₹353.35 at close on Friday last week. This represented a gain of 5.11 per cent.
The markets rallied over 200 points to reclaim the 22,000-level in morning trade on strong cues from the Asian markets.
ONGC extended its morning gains to 4.20 per cent at ₹321 as against its previous close of ₹308.05.
ICICI Bank held gains of 3.59 per cent at ₹1,241 as against ₹1,197.95 at close on Friday. With banking sector stocks leading the BSE rally, HDFC Bank also gained 2.75 per cent by late session. It was quoting ₹752.05 as against ₹731.95 at close on Friday.
Coal India edged down a tad to hold gains of 2.70 per cent at ₹270.50 as against ₹263.40 at close last week.
