Tata Motors kept up its momentum to forge ahead on the NSE near the close on Friday. At 3.10 p.m. the stock was trading at Rs 388.10. This represented a gain of 3.23 per cent on its previous close at Rs 375.95.
GAIL (India) extended its recent firm run on the markets to quote at Rs 361.35. This was a gain of 2.90 per cent on its previous close of Rs 351.15.
NTPC made further ground to hold gains of 1.77 per cent by close. The stock was trading at Rs 132.40 as against its overnight close at Rs 130.10.
Reliance Industries made rapid progress to trade at Rs 821.20. This was a gain of 1.71 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 807.40.
Tata Consultancy Services shed some of its morning gains by late trading. The stock was trading at Rs 2,169 as against its overnight close of Rs 2,133.75. This was a gain of 1.65 per cent.
