Geojit BNP Paribas has posted a net profit of ₹20 crore for the quarter-ending September this year. The figure in the corresponding quarter was ₹18.1 crore. The company said profit before tax during the second quarter went up by 148 per cent to ₹31 crore from ₹12.5 crore a year ago. The consolidated revenues increased by 57 per cent to ₹82.4 crore in the July-September quarter, from ₹52.5 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. For the first time ever, the firm’s assets under management and custody rose to ₹21,150 crore as on September 30. CJ George, Managing Director, said the significant increase in the market volume has helped the company achieve better results.
