HDFC extended its morning gains to emerge the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 2.55 pm it was up 2.85 per cent at ₹1,009. The stock had closed last week’s session at ₹981.05.
The standalone home loan player announced today that it had posted 15 per cent growth in net profit in Q1 on healthy demand from individuals.
Reliance Industries lost some of its morning gains in late trading. The stock was trading at ₹1,000.70, up 2.46 per cent on its previous close at ₹976.70.
RIL on Saturday reported that it had posted a 13.7 per cent jump in net profit at ₹5,957 crore on consolidated revenues of ₹1.07 lakh crore during the first quarter.
Axis Bank made further ground to hold gains of 1.83 per cent. It was trading at ₹2,032.65. The share closed last week at ₹1,996.05.
ITC was trading firm at ₹348.50. This represented a gain of 1.26 per cent on Friday’s close at ₹344.15.
Maruti Suzuki zipped up 1.08 per cent to trade at ₹2,551.35. The share was quoting at ₹2,524 at the close last week.
