Jindal Steel made rapid strides in the afternoon session to emerge the top gainer on the NSE in late trading on Wednesday. At 2.50 pm the stock held gains of 5.88 per cent at ₹154 as against ₹145.45 at the finish yesterday.
Kotak Mahindra Bank made further ground to hold gains of 4.56 per cent at ₹1,060. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹1,013.75.
Hero MotoCorp extended its rally to hold gains of 3.98 per cent at ₹3,115 as against ₹2,995.85 at close yesterday.
Tata Motors rose 3.59 per cent at ₹519.45 as against ₹501.45 at close on Tuesday.
Cairn India sped up 3.25 per cent at ₹287.45 as against ₹278.40 at close yesterday.
