ICICI Bank made further headway ahead of the close on the BSE on Wednesday. At 2.49 p.m. it was trading at Rs 996.80, up 2.86 per cent on Tuesday's close of Rs 969.10.
ONGC was trading at Rs 282.10 as against Rs 275.80 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 2.28 per cent.
GAIL (India) maintained its firm undertone but was off its morning highs. In late trading, the GAIL stock was quoting at Rs 355.65, up 2.27 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 347.75.
Reliance Industries inched up to trade at Rs 819.55, up 1.74 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 805.50.
BHEL was firm but edged lower to trade at Rs 157.10 as against Rs 154.95 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.39 per cent.
