Shares of Indraprastha Gas hit an all-time high on upbeat results.
The stock rose as much as 4.49 per cent to a record high of Rs 1,059.90.
The stock posted its biggest intraday percentage gain since December 15, 2016.
The company had on Wednesday posted about 37 per cent jump in December-quarter profit, beating analysts estimates.
“Sales volumes surprised positively,” analysts at AmbitCapital wrote, adding that the volumes are expected to further benefit from regulatory tailwinds, improved competitiveness of CNG and easing of infrastructure congestion.
As of Wednesday’s close, the stock was up 10.5 per cent so far this year.
