Private lender IndusInd Bank made rapid gains in the afternoon session to emerge the top gainer on the NSE near the close on Monday. At 3.05 pm it was trading at ₹562 as against ₹542.35 at the close last Friday. This represented a gain of 3.62 per cent.

HDFC maintained its firm undertone to hold gains of 2.78 per cent at ₹1,010.30. The share had ended the previous session at ₹983.

The standalone home loan player announced today that it had posted 15 per cent growth in net profit in Q1 on healthy demand from individuals.

Reliance Industries edged down a shade in late trading. It was quoting at ₹999.95 as against its previous close at ₹976.75. This represented a gain of 2.38 per cent.

RIL on Saturday reported a 13.7 per cent jump in net profit at ₹5,957 crore on consolidated revenues of ₹1.07 lakh crore during the first quarter.

Asian Paints firmed up 2.25 per cent to quote at ₹593.50 as against ₹580.45 at close last Friday.

Grasim Industries traded up 2.03 per cent to quote at ₹3,405. The share finished last Friday’s session at ₹3,337.10.
