Private sector lender IndusInd Bank emerged the top gainer on the NSE by close on Thursday. However, the predominant gainers in late trade were IT stocks, with Infosys, TCS and HCL Technologies in the lead pack.
At 3.40 pm, IndusInd Bank was quoting at ₹557.30, up 2.81 per cent on its previous close at ₹542.05.
Infosys extended its firm morning run to hold gains of 2.20 per cent by close. It was quoting at ₹3,311.90. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹3,240.50.
TCS was also up by a similar margin at ₹2,276.05 as against its previous close at ₹2,227.05.
Asian Paints spurted 1.81 per cent to trade at ₹568. The stock had finished yesterday’s session at ₹557.90.
HCL Technologies advanced 1.51 per cent to quote at ₹1,458.60. The stock had closed Wednesday’s session at ₹1,436.85.
