Shares of Larsen & Toubro gained as much as 2.2 per cent in Monday's trade as the company's construction arm has bagged a Rs. 8,650-crore order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
The heavy civil infrastructure business vertical of L&T Construction bagged an order worth Rs. 8,650 crore from the MMRDA for construction of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing.
Following a positive open at Rs 1,240 against the previous close of Rs 1,221.25, L&T scrip touched intraday high of Rs 1,248.45 and a low of 1,225 on the BSE. In terms of equity volume, 1.69 lakh shares were traded on the BSE.
L&T shares ended higher by 0.53 per cent at Rs 1,227.75.
The scrip touched its fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,274 on November 10, 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 868.43 on December 23, 2016.
