Pharma stocks held on to their firm undertone on the NSE as well in late trading on Monday. Lupin, the top gainer in the morning session, extended its gains to forge ahead by close.
At 3.15 p.m. Lupin was trading at Rs 921.05 as against Rs 881.90 at close on Friday. This represented a gain of 4.44 per cent.
Dr Reddys Labs also traded firm to extend its gains above its morning levels. The stock was quoting at Rs 2,659.55 as against Rs 2,609.55 at the finish last week. This represented a gain of 1.92 per cent.
GAIL (India) maintained its firm undertone to trade at Rs 365.05, up 1.88 per cent on its previous close at Rs 358.30.
Sun Pharma Industries edged lower to trade at Rs 595.95 as against Rs 588.70 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 1.23 per cent.
Cipla also forged ahead to emerge among the top gainers in late trading. It was trading at Rs 412.70 by close, up 0.51 per cent on its previous close of Rs 410.60.
