Mercator Ltd on Monday said its subsidiary Mercator Petroleum Ltd in consortium with Oil India Ltd and others has entered into a production-sharing contract with Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise for two oil blocks.

The Myanmar Government on March 31 had selected Mercator Petroleum Ltd in consortium with Oil India, OilMax Energy Pvt Ltd and Oil Star Management Service Co Ltd for exploration of two shallow water oil blocks: M-4 and Block YEB.

Oil India is the designated operator of both the blocks, while Mercator Petroleum holds 25 per cent participating interest in the blocks. Shares of Mercator tumbled 2.2 per cent to ₹29.20 on the NSE.

The board of directors of Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd on Monday declared a second interim dividend of ₹8 a share of ₹1 (face value) for the current financial year.

The interim dividend, which will involve a total pay-out of ₹130.5 crore (including dividend distribution tax), will be paid on December 29. Shares of Colgate Palmolive closed at ₹1,869.85, down ₹42.25 or 2.21 per cent on the BSE.

The board of directors of CMI will meet on December 12 to consider issue of equity shares/warrants/convertible securities on preferential basis to promoter group, associates and non-promoters. The board will also decide on the relevant date for the purpose of preferential issue. Shares of CMI surged 6 per cent to ₹62.90 on the BSE.
