Metal stocks maintained their firm trend on the NSE in late trading on Tuesday. At 2.45 pm Tata Steel led the pack with gains of 6.14 per cent at ₹523.15 as against its previous close of ₹492.90.
Sesa Sterlite made further ground to hold gains of 5.86 per cent at ₹296.40 as against ₹280 at close on Monday.
Grasim Industries also advanced further to trade up 4.76 per cent at ₹3,311. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹3,160.45.
Coal India gained 4.59 per cent at ₹390.50. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹373.35.
Ambuja Cement built gains of 3.43 per cent at ₹230.50. The stock had closed Monday’s session at ₹222.85.
