Asian Paints spurted over 3 per cent to lead the pack on the NSE on Tuesday morning after an extended weekend on account of the Republic Day holiday on Monday. At 12.15 pm the share was trading at Rs 889.50, up 3.18 per cent on its Friday close at Rs 862.10.
Axis Bank gained 2.56 per cent to trade at Rs 579.60 as against Rs 565.15 at close last week.
Cipla perked up 2.25 per cent to trade at Rs 692.90. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 677.65.
ICICI Bank was up 2.05 per cent at Rs 378.30 as against Rs 370.70 at close last Friday.
Tata Motors sped up 1.83 per cent at Rs 599.20 as against Rs 588.45 at close last week.
