IT and pharmaceutical shares were on a roll on Tuesday morning. They were the top gainers on both the BSE and the NSE.

At 11 am TCS was trading at Rs 2,735.90 on the NSE. This represented a gain of 2.49 per cent on its previous close at Rs 2,669.40.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose 2.12 per cent to trade at Rs 944.85. The share had closed Monday’s session at Rs 925.20.

Reliance Industries rode up 1.90 per cent to quote at Rs 880.70 as against Rs 864.25 at close yesterday.

Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 1.84 per cent at Rs 3,449. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 3,386.65.

Wipro gained 1.64 per cent to trade at Rs 675.40 as against Rs 664.50 at close yesterday.
