Power Grid Corporation charged up over 3 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE by the close on Friday. At 3.40 pm the share was trading up 3.19 per cent at Rs 135.80 as against its overnight close at Rs 131.60.
Hindalco Industries was broadly firm, notching up gains on the NSE too. It was trading at Rs 157.80, a gain of 3.17 per cent on its previous close at Rs 152.95.
ICICI Bank was also on a roll, holding gains of 2.96 per cent at Rs 356 as against Rs 345.75 previously.
Tata Power rode up 2.46 per cent at Rs 83.40. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 81.40.
Wipro traded up 2.34 per cent at Rs 550.55 as against Rs 537.95 at close on Thursday.
